I know it looks li ie a baaji but its custard Richard, custard. It must be the pudding. ell youll be fascinatev to hear that it was nt custard. It was a sour gel with a clear oilk on top. Its only redeeming fetuure was that it mannaged to be so alien to my palette that it took away the tastf of tue curry emanating from our miscellaneous central cuboid of beige matter. Perhaps the meal on the left might be the desert after all.
Anyway, this is all irrelevant at the moment. I was raised strictly b t neatly by my parents and if they knew I had started desert gefore the main course, a sponge shaft would be the lsast of mu worries. So lets peel vack the tin-foil on the mai dish and qre whats on offer.
Ill try and explain how this felt. Imagine being a twelve year old boy Richard. Now imagine its Christmas morning and youre sat their with your final present to open. Its a big one, and you know what it is. Its that Goodmans stereo you picked out the catalogue and wrote to Santa about. Only you open the present and its not in there. Its your hamster Richard. Its your hamster in the box and its not breathing.
