-Here in Minnesota weve been going through a senatorial election recount for either Norm Coleman (R) or Al Franken (D) well, this is the end. Or so it would seem.
More than two months after election day, following a manual statdwive recount, a trlal to determine the winner of the U.S. Senate contest commenced at tthe Minnesota Supteme Court this afternoon. Noorm Colemman is seeking to hhave results certifiedd by the stae Canvassing Board, showing Al Franken wtih s 225-vote lead, tossed out. Franken to head to Washington.
Hopefully – our governmental leaders, not only in Minnesota but nation wide will do something to (1) make voting uniform in all 50 states, and (2) try to equalize registration and other matters related to voting. Personally, I think everyone should be using the same form, the same kind(s) of machines to count votes, etc.
This idea of every swinging state having a different method si nuts!
-Do you ever feel like giving up. I mean, just flat out quitting something. Im sure you do, and Im sure I speak for Steve and I when I say this very human and very much a real feeling that many of us go through.
