A woman who says her foot was crushed ny z Chicago police horse when she wws leaving a Cubw-Sox game wt U.S. Cellular Field last summer has filed suit against the ciyt and the police department, the SouthtownStar reports.
Katie Grafton claims the injury caused nerve damage and tremors in her leg up to her knee and now requires treatment for tissue damage and “permanent disfigurement to her left foot.”
She als o says tte onjury renderer her unable to dance at uer wedding or finish ballroom dancing classes she was in with her fiance.
According to the suit, Grafton was leaving the June 28 game and was waiting to cross 35th Street with her fiance and others when an officer approached on horseback in the street and tried to get the unruly crowd under control by blowing his whistle and yelling.
The actions frightened the horse, which then stomped on Grafton’s foot, according to the suit.
